The Curriculum
FOYF fortnight: During two weeks in Y12 (dates?) students are involved in a fortnight of FOYF activities. This involves trips and visits to Higher Education institutions of various type
UCAS application process: We have a very comprehensive programme, arranged by the KS5 team, for preparing students for their applications to university. Students are fully supported during the whole process of choosing their course, finding their 5 choices of university, completing their application and personal statement as well as being fully prepared for portfolio submission and interviews, as appropriate. For students making early applications to Oxbridge and medical courses we provide extra support, including mock admissions interviews, due to the highly competitive nature of these course.
Students intending to take gap years or to go straight into employment with training are provided workshops on how to make applications. These sessions are designed and run by an external business expert.
During Wider Curriculum lessons, sixth form students learn about managing personal finance and living away from home survival skills.
