Lawnswood School follows the JCQ [Joint Council for Qualifications] rules and regulation for all exams taking place including mock examinations. Please see the candidate handbook for full details of the exam processes candidates need to know >>
Results are available to Summer 2020 candidates on Thursday 13 August 2020 for A levels and Thursday 20 August 2020 for GCSEs. Due to the impact of the coronavirus candidates will receive their results by email, to the candidates school address, by 9:00am on the days given above. A paper copy will posted by first class post and should be received the day after the dates given above.
A letter has been sent home to all Year 11 and Year 13 students outline the process for the day. This letter can be found here >>
The grade and/or ranking submitted to the exam board can be requested. There will be full information how to make a request and the cost given in the candidate's results day email.
If a candidate wishes to appeal a result the grounds for appeal are centre error, exam board mistake, exam board admin error and bias/discrimination. If a candidate would like to make an appeal there will be full information and cost given in the candidate's results day email.
There will be a re-sit exam season in the autumn to allow candidates to sit any exams they wish to improve the result they have been allocated. Although there are no specific exam dates as yet A level exams will take place between 5 October 2020 and 23 October 2020 and GCSE between 2 November 2020 and 23 November 2020.
All subject exams will take place Lawnswood School. The exception is candidates studying at a new centre who received a 3 or below for GCSE English and maths who will take these two subjects at the new centre.
If candidates would like to be entered for any exams there will be full information and costs given in the candidate's results day email.
