At Lawnswood School we are committed to closing the gap in educational achievement between disadvantaged students and others.
The Pupil Premium is a government grant, allocated to schools, specifically to improve outcomes for this group of students, which includes:
- Children currently in receipt of free school meals (FSM)
- Children who have been in receipt of free school meals within the last six years (FSM Ever 6)
- Children who are being looked after by the local authority, in care (CLA)
- Children who have left local authority care through adoption, a special guardianship order or a child arrangement order.
In addition, schools can receive a separate Service Children’s Premium, which applies to the children of parents or carers who are serving in the Armed Forces.
