Attendance Improvement Officer (AIO)

37 hours per week (term time only plus 20 days), permanent

Pay: Salary £27,741 - £29,577.

Actual salary £25,663 - £27,362.

Required from: April 2021, or as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint an Attendance Improvement Officer to join our pastoral team at Lawnswood School.  Someone who will support and challenge both our young people and their families to improve their attendance at school.

The successful candidate will be a confident and effective communicator, who will be relentless in their drive to improve attendance at school, thinking outside of the box to drive initiatives and work in partnership with other colleagues and stakeholders where appropriate.

Design Faculty Technician – specialising in Food & Textiles

To cover maternity leave. Full time/Part time, 8am–4pm daily. (number of days flexible.)

Term time only + 6 days.

Payscale: SCP 1-4. £9.00-£9.55/hr – (depending on experience.)

We are seeking to recruit an individual, to cover maternity leave, who will work within the Food, Textiles and Art departments maintaining a clean and safe working environment and supporting staff and students in lessons. This is a practical role and training will be available to obtain skills in key areas. Applicants will be practically minded and able to work as part of a team as well as use their initiative to ensure that the department is maintained to high standards.

Design Faculty Lead Teacher - with responsibility for Art

Pay scale range: MPS/UPS + TLR 2b

Required from:  September 2021

We are looking for someone with talent, ambition, and experience to join our middle leadership team to support the leadership of the faculty and lead Art as a subject area.

The successful candidate will have experience of subject middle leadership, or be an outstanding aspiring middle leader and will have a strong track record of delivering improvement. They will also be a confident leader of staff, able to inspire a love of Art in students of all ages to ensure Art is regularly showcased to all stakeholders. Art is part of the Design Technology faculty and support with the leadership of whole faculty responsibilities such as Literacy and FOYF. These will be agreed with the successful candidate.

We need someone with enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ mentality, an ability to inspire others and translate a vision into reality. We will expect you to lead the subject are of Art and oversee the curriculum, including standards and outcomes; teaching and learning; engagement.
