Teacher of Spanish and French

Permanent Full Time

Payscale range: MPS/UPS (plus TLR2a for an experienced colleague)

Required from:  September 2021

We are looking for someone with talent, ambition and experience to join the MFL department at Lawnswood School.  The successful candidate will be a Spanish specialist and be able teach Spanish to Key Stage 4 and French to KS3.  There is the possibility of the opportunity to be Head of Spanish (which attracts a TLR2a) for an experienced colleague.

We need someone with enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ mentality and an ability to inspire a love of languages in all learners. We run a number of foreign exchange and cultural trips throughout the academic year and we are looking for someone who is willing to contribute to this crucial extra-curricular element of language learning.

Pastoral Support Worker

Full-time, permanent. Term time only

Payscale: B1-B2 4-7 (£18,933-£20,092) Actual salary: £15,886-£16,859

Required from: September 2021 with an earlier start date of July 2021 for available candidates.

We are looking for a Pastoral Support Worker, who has the skills and desire to be part of our pastoral team. The successful candidate will have experience of working with and supporting young people and their families.

We need someone with enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ mentality, and an ability to build positive relationships. We will expect you to implement interventions and engage with young people, including those that are disaffected. This role affords the opportunity to work with a team of talented and dedicated colleagues.

Red Kite Teacher Training offers excellent School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programmes for both Primary and Secondary prospective teachers. In partnership with other schools in the Leeds, Harrogate and surrounding areas, our 1 year course leads to QTS* and PGCE.
