Employed on a casual basis
Pay scale range: SCP7 (£12.59/hr)

We are looking for exam invigilators, for the academic year, to join our rota to work on a casual basis, at most times during the year, for both internal and external exam periods.

Paperwork and filing skills are required, with the ability to follow precise instructions. We are looking for people with a flexible attitude, the ability to work as part of a team and people who have good attention to detail. Training will be given.

Payscale: MPS/UPS + TLR1a (£9,781, pay award pending)
Required from: January or sooner if possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the successful candidate to lead our on-site alternative provision (The Link). Working as a key member of our curriculum leadership team you will have the chance to shape the future of young people with SEMH needs. You will lead a team which includes a classroom teacher, 2 Higher Level Teaching Assistants and a Teaching Assistant.

Lawnswood School is a thriving school with strong leadership and a dedicated and supportive team of staff. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ mentality, and the drive and determination to ensure that the vulnerable students with whom you work can overcome barriers to learning and progress; helping to keep them safe, happy and successful throughout their time with us.

The Link is a large provision made up of two dedicated spaces. The Key Stage 3 provision has capacity for approximately 12 students, with the aim of supporting their return to mainstream education and ensuring they are ready for Key Stage 4 study. The Key Stage 4 provision has capacity for approximately 20 students, who are taught the core and SRE curriculum within the provision, delivered by specialist teachers, mixed with sessions out at local colleges. Your experience in supporting students with SEMH needs will be key; as such, the role offers a professional challenge and a rewarding opportunity to be part of an inclusive school with a leadership team who are highly committed to improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people.

Red Kite Teacher Training offers excellent School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programmes for both Primary and Secondary prospective teachers. In partnership with other schools in the Leeds, Harrogate and surrounding areas, our 1 year course leads to QTS* and PGCE.
