Year 9 Options
September 2026
Welcome to the Year 9 Options process. Over the next few weeks you should find everything that you need to enable you to make the best choice of Key Stage 4 subjects.
Here is the timeline of activities to help you make this important decision:
- Tuesday 20 January - Options Evening 5:30pm - 7:00pm, with key talks at 5:30, 6:00, and 6:30pm
- Friday 30 January- Year 9 progress reports issued
- Friday 6 February - Year 9 Parents Evening booking opens
- Wednesday 25 February - Year 9 Parents Consultation Evening
- Friday 27 February - Final deadline to submit options form
Once all the choices are made we then start the process of timetabling for next year and we write to every student during the Summer term to confirm their courses. If we are unable to fulfil a student's top three options, we will always speak to them in person.
