Receptionist – Student Reception

Permanent, full time

Payscale: Pay Scale: A1-A3, SCP 1-4. 37 hrs/week, term time only plus 10 days £17,364 - £18,426. (pro rata, actual salary £15,183-£16,124)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motived person to work within our busy administrative team.

The successful candidate will predominately be working in our Student Reception, providing an effective and student-friendly first point of contact for students.  The successful candidate will work with the admin team to ensure students are directed to the correct advice and guidance or issued with information in a timely manner.  They will support in managing the safe entry and exit of students and recording and monitoring attendance.  They will provide first aid to students in line with the school’s policies and procedures.

A desire to support with the pastoral care of students is essential.  Experience of working in an office environment is essential, along with possessing good IT and communication skills.  The successful candidate should hold a first aid certificate or be willing to undertake first aid training.

Finance Assistant

Pay Scale: A1-A3, SCP 1-4. Annual Salary £17,364 - £18,426. Actual salary pro rata £15,554 - £16,495.

We are seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant, with previous financial and administrative experience. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated, possessing excellent organisational, administrative and communicative skills.

High levels of accuracy are essential, with the ability to cross check financial processes ensuring efficient and effective systems are in place. Under the direction of the Bursar, the successful candidate will be an integral member of the Finance team. Prioritising key tasks, processing financial information, completing administrative duties, working to financial year deadlines, updating financial records and assisting the Bursar in producing financial information.

Experience of working with FMS, SIMS, Excel and payment collection systems, such as ParentPay is desirable.

This is a varied role offering the successful individual the opportunity to develop their skillset and support the finance team at Lawnswood School.

This role requires liaison with parents, students, colleagues and suppliers and so excellent communications skills are essential.  The role will also require the candidate to undertake general administrative duties and offer support in other departments as and when required.
