Student view on the brilliant Spanish Exchange
Spanish exchange – 13th to 20th February 2019
After a short flight and a coach ride, we met the Spanish students. I was paired with Jesús, who lived in an apartment near the school. On the first day, we spent some time at the Spanish school and in the playground, enjoying the beautiful weather. Most days, after going back to his flat and meeting his family, we normally met up with the rest of the students and explored the city of Santander!
The Spanish students were very nice and chatty. Also, they had similar interest to us, such as sports or music, so it was a very enjoyable trip.

In Spain, we saw and experienced lots of culture and the differences between life in England and life in Spain. We stayed with Spanish families and go a feel for a what life as a teenager is like in Spain. We visited the Spanish school for a day and all the students were very keen to practise their English as we were to use our Spanish. We did lots of great day trips, such a visit to the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao. We made lots of friends and learnt about a great culture. It was an unforgettable trip!
