Match report from Josh Prince for the Leeds Schools Cup quarter final v Morley
On Tuesday 7th of March Lawnswood School played a football game against Morley Academy in the Leeds cup.
The first goal came early on in the first half when Kenson Morton was played through and finished well and yet again was played through for a wonderful finish in the bottom corner.
The second half came The midfield started to tire near the start of the second half and two goals were scored by Morley as Lawnswood were outnumbered at the back. Lawnswood did not drop their heads as Will Coupland scored a screamer as it floated into the top corner, then as Lawnswood pushed more Kenson got his hat-trick with a delightful chip over the keeper to make the score 4-2. Lawnswood thought they won the game and Morley were determined to level the scores with 5 minutes remaining. With a minute remaining the scores were level.
It went to extra time as both teams wanted the win, but both were too tired to score the winning goal.

As all penalties were scored by Lawnswood, Samuel dived low and saved a powerful shot from the 6th Morley penalty taker.
